FAQs

What is a catalogue?

A catalogue is a database containing descriptions about the archives that we hold. You can search the catalogue to look for things of interest to you.

How do I get access to view records I have found in the catalogue?

To view any records held by the RCSI Heritage Collections an appointment must be made in advance by emailing archivist@rcsi.ie with the reference numbers and/or title of the collection you wish to consult. Researchers must also fill in the RCSI Research Application Form and bring a valid form of identification on arrival. The reading room is open Thursday from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4.30pm.

Can I use images from your collection?

For images that are to be used for research and/or personal study please see RCSI Imaging Agreement Form
