Two illustrations contain studies of skin detail. Illustrations labelled 'No.1, No.2, No.11 and No.8'. A manuscript note on the front reads '6 drawings of malignant pustule presented by Charles Trenery Esq., Gibraltar'. A faint manuscript in the bottom left corner reads 'Charles Trenery Asst. Surgeon Civil Hospt. Gibraltar (?)'. Manuscript notes accompanying the illustrations read as follows: ''No.1 - a man of small size'; 'No.11 - Jose Regmundi at 60. Drawn shortly before death. R..W.
