This tablet and memorial bed have been instituted by a number of those who desire to preserve his name as a zealous worker in the interests of the City of Dublin Hospital. And as a man truly devoted to his profession, kindly to all and a friend of many. He served in the Great War from Mons until his death at Wimerfux, from wounds received in discharge of his duty on the 29th May 1918'.</dc:description>
