DescriptionGroup of coloured illustrations with manuscript notes showing the different colourations in Nichol's skin after experimentation. The manuscript note on the envelope reads "Wallace kept a negro [Nichol] at his house to make observations on his skin. Drawings were [made] by his two young daughters, under his direction (in this envelope). The elder daughter died in her 18th year of Scarlet Fever. Drawings of experiments on the skin of the negro Nichol". Numbers run RCSI/IP/Wallace/2/3/1 to RCSI/IP/Wallace/2/3/8.
