TitleThigh
DescriptionColour illustration showing an anterior view of the thigh with lesions on the skin. A manuscript note on the front reads 'Willm. Lover'. A further manuscript note on the reverse reads 'No. 4. Jan. 1834. M [?] showing the great difference in the colour and marking of cicatrices [?] ascending to the period or stage of the disease of which they access. The central cicatrice was left by an ulcer, one of the first crop of [?] ulcers. The small black pitting and the waxen whitening of this cicatrice are remarkable. The copper coloured cicatrice are those of the last series or crop of [?] ulcers. Remarkable for the peculiar copper colour, for their irregular sunken surface. In many places this last crop formed on edges of cicatrices of the first series or crop.'
