TitleThe Queen's Institute of District Nursing in Ireland
DescriptionRecords relating to the Queen's Institute of District Nursing in Ireland. Established and incorprated by Royal Charter in 1889 in England, the Institute had its first Dublin office at 14 Nassau Street. The Institute organized the education of district nurses, district nursing services and associated functions, while also providing pensions for district nurses. Once newer systems of education were created for nurses the Institute terminated its training schemes in 1968.
